Minnesota Telehealth Network SERVICE OFFERINGS

  • Teaches sites about telemedicine and telehealth applications
  • Provides and schedules medical specialist consultants
  • Interfaces directly with physician practices for reimbursement, billing, coding, medical records
  • Arranges for or verifies video capability with IT
  • Puts M.D. consultant online and problem-solves with specialist, as needed during consult
  • Initiates schedules and provides central scheduling
  • Initiates connectivity bridging with various sites for specialist’s clinic
  • Schedules telemedicine at urban and rural sites, rooms, and equipment with site personnel
  • Provides visit to rural site to assist with initial equipment set-up, use and proficiency
  • Assists with rural site while online for problem-solving with technology, quality, use of peripherals, etc.
  • Assists to solve technical interface issues if outside of Onvoy system
  • Provides telemedicine network interface with IT
  • Provides education and training at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena for new telemedicine site staff/ nurses (10-12 hours) on:
    • Peripheral equipment used for presenting patient online
    • Specialty protocols
    • Patient screening and handling during visit
    • Consult preparation/follow-up
    • Medical record preparation, consents, physician orders
    • Document security
    • Communication protocols
    • Billing, coding
    • Practice online nurse-to-nurse
    • Proficiency and competency
